'Partido por la Paz' - Match For Peace

The Partido por la Paz - "Match For Peace" has taken place since 2004. Our Inaugural Event took place in Porto Alegre, Brasil and featured the reigning FIFA World Player of The Year Ronaldinho Gaucho. Our annual Match, Events and Gala have taken place in Chile from 2005 onward.

 

The Partido por la Paz takes place just after Christmas and features a Team selected by the public, through a voting process with our partner, the National Newspaper 'La Cuarta'. "The Peoples Team" plays a Team made up of Chilean Internationals home for their Christmas break. Superstars such as Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal and Jorge Valdivia give of their time and provide a wonderful experience for the fans, families and children involved.

The Gol Iluminado Foundation provides thousands of tickets to the Partido por la Paz to families in the community. We deliver futbol clinics, autograph and photo sessions to local children, as a compliment to the match. Participating players visit the Van Buren Hospital Children’s Center, while proceeds from the event and activities assist to implement and sustain our GOL ILUMINADO Football For Peace "Legacy Projects" throughout Chile.
